Amazon is ending direct ebook downloads on older Kindle devices. This tool converts your ebook files into the right format for your Kindle model and gives you a file you can drag on via USB.

From May 2026, Amazon stopped letting older Kindles download books directly from their store. If your device is a Kindle Keyboard, Touch, Paperwhite 1 or 2, or similar older model, you can no longer buy and receive books wirelessly.
⚠️ Amazon will fully end Kindle support for these older devices on 20th May 2026. After that date, even existing books may no longer sync. Now is the time to back up your library.
The fix is simple: connect your Kindle via USB, convert your book here, and drag the file into the documents folder on your Kindle. Job done.
